Richard Prewitt enjoyed a long and successful interior design career in Greenville, Mississippi before joining the Batte design team in 1993. He chose a career in design at an early age, pursuing a college curriculum in art and design, followed by graduate study at the New York School of Interior Design.

A native Mississippian with Delta roots, Richard deeply appreciates of the importance of family and tradition–both shaping and finding expression in his work. Creating spaces that enhance the lives of the families he works with has been Richard's goal throughout his exciting career.

Richard firmly believes utilizing professionals equipped through culture, education and especially experience plays a vital role in creating beautiful, livable space.
