  • Richard PrewittRichard Prewitt enjoyed a long and successful interior design career in Greenville, Mississippi before joining the Batte design team in 1993. He chose a career in design at an early age, pursuing a college curriculum in art and design, followed by graduate study at the New York School of Interior Design.

    A native Mississippian with Delta roots, Richard deeply appreciates of the importance of family and tradition–both shaping and finding expression in his work. Creating spaces that enhance the lives of the families he works with has been Richard's goal throughout his exciting career.

    Richard firmly believes utilizing professionals equipped through culture, education and especially experience plays a vital role in creating beautiful, livable space.

  • Barbara ThompsonBarbara Thompson has 50 years experience in all facets of our industry. A former storeowner, manager, buyer, salesperson and designer, she brings a wealth of valuable experience to every client and every project.

    Barbara has a natural talent for interpreting her clients' needs and the ability to execute the design. Her focus is not simply to design livable spaces but to design for those who will be living in those spaces.

    Her attention to detail, excellent sense of style and eye for design—combined with her ability to develop relationships based on trust and confidence—have resulted in beautiful spaces and happy clients at Batte since 1986.

  • Loretta EllisLoretta began her career in sales and design over 35 years ago.

    A native of Jackson, she has enjoyed creating hundreds of beautiful home interiors from the Garden District of New Jersey to the mountains of Colorado. Loretta's early background as a commercial artist brings a special dimension to her unique design ability. Her work has been extensively photographed, appearing in numerous publications.

    A talented designer accomplished in space planning, color coordination and lifestyle design, Loretta particularly enjoys developing valued relationships with her clients and designing atmospheres that reflect their personalities.

  • Pam BallThe daughter of an Air Force pilot, Pam Ball grew up all over the world and has experienced myriad views of interior design. She studied art and design throughout high school and college—with an emphasis on Interior Design in her graduate work at the University of Mississippi.

    After college, Pam traveled as a flight attendant and lived in north Mississippi for 25 years where she helped friends and businesses with their interior design needs. She also worked with her parents in their Highland Village store—Antiques Etcetera—and accompanied them on buying trips to England and France.

    Pam especially enjoys working with clients to enhance the beauty of their home or business, all the while conveying their interests and tastes. Her philosophy of design is to make a home a beautiful, warm and welcoming environment for the family who lives there and for the guests they receive.

  • Sarah CarrA native of Brandon, Mississippi, Sarah Carr received a degree in Interior Design from the University of Southern Mississippi. Before moving to Jackson to join the design team at Batte Furniture & Interiors, Sarah worked in the interior design field in Hattiesburg for four years.

    Utilizing her experience in custom window treatments, rugs, furniture (even flooring!), Sarah creates a warm a home her clients can love from top to bottom. She prides herself on solving design problems creatively, finding a client’s design voice, and building lasting relationships with clients.

    An LEED-AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) since 2009, Sarah searches for opportunities to incorporate Green design into every home.

  • Meagan MageeMeagan Magee found her love for interior design watching her grandmother update her home more often than her grandfather would have liked. From a young age she began to study art and design and followed her dream to The University of Southern Mississippi where she studied interior design, along with photography and graphic design. She graduated in 2011 with a degree in Interior Design.

    After graduation, Meagan began working with designers in Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi, drafting home plans and specifying furniture before moving closer to Jackson to be near family. Now at Batte Furniture and Interiors, Meagan is using her love of design elements to make her clients homes functional and beautiful. The relationships she grows from meeting clients and working in their homes, cultivates an understanding and trust in the design process that leaves the homeowner with a space that is meaningful, attractive and fulfills a purpose.

  • Kaye SellersKaye Sellers has been in the field of interior design and sales over 33 years, 14 of them at Batte Furniture& Interiors.

    Kaye is experienced in both commercial and residential design creating environments that are functional and appealing. She has a great perception of scale and loves to use color to reflect the personal tastes of her clients. Kaye feels that listening to her clients is important to the success of their projects and encourages them to participate in the process.

    At a young age Kaye knew that she wanted to be in the artistic world. She displayed a special interest in color and design. Her formal education includes a degree in Environmental Design with a minor in marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi.

    Today you will find her at Batte Furniture & Interiors assisting her clients by making their homes functional and beautiful.
